Zombie DOOM is a decent first person shooter for Windows phones.
The game has a unique cast of zombies and captives, as well as weaponry, even secret rooms to find and explore, however he ax does not seem to be equitable. The advertisements take up a good fifth of the screen at all times, and on a phone that is already limited in screen size in order to be portable, this is a big nuisance. As is the fact that aim is set on a horizontal plane. No head shots unless the subject is backed up enough to have the zombie head fit in the middle of the screen. The music isn’t bad, but it does not fit half the time, not with intense segments often playing over dull puzzle solving instead of battle.
The graphics are overall fairly decent, yet there are identical works of art on nearly every wall, but main problem with the graphics is not that walls, floor, and décor that were designed with the classic Wolfenstein asethtics in mind, no doubt, but rather that the gun(s) is 3D and far more realistic in comparison.
With multiple levels and difficulty ranging from easy to very hard to impossible, there is some replay value, but the game grows tedious.
In conclusion, Zombie DOOM is worth a play through if you love Wolfenstein and aren’t fed up with the whole zombie theme, but it’s not spectacular by any means. Even if you do hate zombies it might be good to blow through some zombies to quiet those feelings.
