Submitting to App Apes is always free, but the App Apes Halloween contest offers an extra special treat for those Halloween themed apps (Day of the Dead Apps also eligible), be they scary, spooky, creepy, or eerie. They can even be light-hearted and fun, cheery, too, if the theme is right.
To be considered the app must be tied to the Halloween season (or Day of the Dead) in some way. Think red Satan costume, not the traditional jolly red Santa. The app can include apparitions, banshees, bats, candy corn, centipedes, crypts, ghosts, ghouls, graveyards, haunted houses, jack-o-lanterns, mummies, pumpkins, trick-or-treaters, twisting trees, skeletons, spiders, swamp monsters, vampires, wendigos, werewolves, witches, zombies, or any other person, place, or thing typically associated with the season.
Two to three winners will be chosen based on the categories of highest App Apes Official Verdict, the Users’ Top Choice, and the Editor’s Choice Wild card, come October 31st. In essence one app can win both the App Apes Official Verdict and the Users’ Top Choice categories, if really shines above the rest. The Editor’s Choice Wild Card will be chosen by the lead editor of App Apes, and represent a fun game that was perhaps overlooked. The winners will receive the special “Best Halloween App” and/or “Best User Rated Halloween App” badge from App Apes that they can display anywhere they wish in order to help promote their game, as well as a special banner for the front page of the App Apes website (cycle) to showcase their app for at least a month’s worth of site traffic. The Editor’s Choice Wild Card winner will also receive a badge of honor and a banner that will be displayed for two weeks.
HOW TO ENTER:
Use the regular submission page now until October 31st at noon, Pacific Standard Time (PST) (the earlier the better for more user votes).
